Lost shipment from update - VERY UNFAIR

I began the fight to save my kidnapped crew right after I logged into the game. I didn't get notice that the server was restarting until after I started the fight. Coming back after the restart, I have lost everything. This is completely unfair.

This is by no fault of my own and there was absolutely nothing I could do. Please restore my crew and allow me to complete the fight. Also this scenario should not be possible if the game is to maintain it's integrity.

Tough cookies. That's on you. And I'm done sugarcoating things.

How is that on me? I am fighting the boss, I get a notice that the server is rebooting and it does so immediately. I had no other indication that this was going to happen!

I had no warning! Sorry but no, that is not on me. That is terrible design and user experience!

It is unfortunate that you missed the announcements, but they do repeatedly spam chat with them, usually an hour before down time every 10 minutes, then as you get closer to the time more often ending up in every minute for the last 5.

That is a ridiculous policy. There may have been announcements before, but I had just logged in. So I guess from now on I have to login and wait for an unspecified time to see if there is an update pending before I actually start playing the game? That is actively hostile to the user!

This is lazy software design, straight up. I have been a software engineer for 26 years and would never accept this kind of workflow in my products. Especially, I would never then refuse to fix the issue for the customer. How does GGG have such low standards?

It's standard practice in games not to restore items in general, mainly...well almost exclusively due to the players that can and do try to scam the system ,

As i said, standard practice in this industry, maintenance and down time happens, you are given fair warning, even games that have a set downtime would have the same issue for you, because (WoW) can come up early or go down later than their advertised times, you log in, server is up so you assume that you are good to go, and ohh, look they were just late taking the server down, or how about they somehow managed to introduce a fairly significant bug, only discovered after servers go up, they would take the servers down and you would be up shit creek again, [Removed by Support]
