Does the increased armor from searing exarch work properly ?

I don't think it is added to my items, and it doesn't seem to be added globally either...

% increased armour is an Eater of Worlds mod and should be global.

Yes, I read that somewhere ... but I checked and when I place an armor with that mod on, it doesn't seem to increase my characters armor at all(the mod) ... except for the difference I get from the item(which doesn't seem to be altered by the mod either).
