Abyss Spire leaving unlimited pit

I was running abyss with 2 abyss scarab, 2 abyss scarab of multitudes and and abyss scarab of edifice. map crafting option for abyss also on Infested Valley map.

The issue happens at the end when a spire is spawning in pits. when I killed the spire it left behind a pit that wont stop spawning mobs and wont go away.

I dont know how to upload a image in here but its just me standing next to a pit with like 4-6 mobs climbin outta a pit without a spire there.

Yeah def have seen this more than a couple of times
