game crashing graphics driver

i have been getting the same problem since late crucible league with the game pausing then closing to desktop without error messages, so much so that i had to quit the league in the end because it was to much with at times i could lose over half my portals to crashes. And now again this league it has become the same.

when the crash occurs occurs it is completely random, from doing demanding content, simple content or even just being afk. when it crashes its just a pause, my second monitor with blip black then come back to picture, then the game with close. if any video was playing in chrome it will have to be reloaded, and pob will no longer be interactable and has to be task manager cancelled.


I have tried all the "fixes" i could find on forums from people trying to fix the same problem that they were experiencing to no avail.
-I have reinstalled windows many times, have had nothing but drivers, steam and the game installed, have tried on manjaro, ubuntu and mint os and still get the same problems.
-i have tried old and latest video drivers with no success.
-i have tried with both gpu and cpu at stock clocks, and also down clocked as some have suggested with no success.
-verified files.
-tried using different versions of c++ redistributables as others have suggested.
-diskcheck and memtest finds no errors.
-i get no crashes of any sort in anything else on the computer.
-i have no thermal issues on any of my hardware.
-lowest or max settings in game makes no difference and i cap fps to 120
-mtx no mtx doesn't seem to matter.


my pc specs are;
-ryzen 7 5800x
-32gb ram
-3080 gpu
-installed on m.2 nvme


Using vulkan on any of the 4 operating systems i listed with give a "vk:: que: submit: Error Device Lost" error every time.

windows takes a little more digging but seems with directx it gets the same 2 errors in the reliability monitor with a;

"poe has stopped working" and the details are;

I find it unlikely that my graphics card is faulty as i get no errors or artifacts in anything else and i am not the only one getting this problem.
hopefully poe2 got some love to the engine or the same problem will be there to.
