Vaal Blade Flurry and Quality

So, first post ever.

I theorized over a potential cool skill usage:

getting about 120% quali for Vaal Blade Flurry. Just put something together in standard to test. I am at 103% now.

Character name "Rollkaefer"

So with that much quality the tooltip ingame says: "25% more damage with hits and ailments for each stage"
I combined Vaal Blade Flurry with conc effect and blood and sand for less AOE which then channels VBF for 20 stages for big ignite.
That would be 500% more dmg. PoB can't input them, but you could manually do it, or just multiply your PoB DPS by 6

Tested ingame on Act 6 boss, compared with WoC ignite.
WoC roughly did 3x the DPS of VBF, this corresponded with the non-altered PoB, so clearly the stage-multiplier did not work.

EDIT: Here are images of my findings, please consider, that I didn't try to minmax or anything, it's just comparing numbers of PoB (without the quality applied) with ingame (tested wether quality mattered)

Gem-tooltip while hovering (showing quality for vaal and non-vaal version)

Skill tooltip (showing the quality for non-vaal)

Skill tooltip (showing no quality for vaal version - first indication of a bug)

PoB current setup with no quali calculated (WoC had 28k ignite DPS):

Could very well be that this is intended and Vaal skills should not profit from quality, but didn't find anything on this.
Still the ingame gem shows the line as stated above...

Lemme know please.

Cheers

WoC is a spell and scales with gem levels. Doesn't care what weapon you have other than it gets more damage from modifiers on it.
Blade Flurry is an attack so the only base scaling is from the weapon. You opted for an INT stacker weapon and not that much INT. You need a good chunk of INT just to match the base scaling of WoC depending on what level WoC you used. You have a level 18 WoC equipped, base damage is 1155 to 1732 physical damage plus any extra conversions, +2 from red socket, +1 from Ashes, etc.

And to make matters worse, the claw you are testing with is 1 to 10 lightning per 10 INT. Even if you have say 1000 INT, that's 100 to 1,000 lightning damage. So the potential spread for your VBF is going to be massive with a high chance or doing more or less than WoC depending on your damage roll.

Thank you for your reply!

Your point of unreliable damage rolls is fair. I will consider testing a closer dmg roll.

I unfortunately didn't specify in my post, that I didn't want to min max or something, I wanted to test if numbers in PoB (imported this very setup: high lvl WoC, low lvl VBF, random claw AND NO QUALITY BONUS since PoB does not calc that) add up with real observations. My bad for not putting it that way.

I will add images that further show what I am testing. And also for proving that ingame tooltips are misleading.

Will be testing a better narrow range weapon for consistency, but will expect a similar outcome.

thanks
Anyone has insight on this?
