How Maim works with poison ?

I want to increase both my bleed and poison damage with my Archer.

I'm considering the Maim support gem for my skill Rain of Arrows. The way I understand it, the "More physical damage" part of Maim will increase my hits with my physical damage bow and both my bleeding damage and poison damage.

But I'm not sure about the "Ennemies maimed by supported skill take 10% increased physical damage" part. I think it will increase my physical hits and my bleeding damage (single dip, at least). But what about my poison damage. How is it calculated ? Does it first calculate the physical damage on the debuffed monsters, then apply a bigger poison amount or is the poison damage calculated before the maim debuff ?

Thanks for the help !

Try reading through these.

Basically I think you understand it but it might help to read through the order of these calculations.

Increased physical damage taken will increase all the physical damage. It wont scale the poison, only the portion of your damage which is physical.

This will work on any physical damage or damage that has been has been converted from physical and will increase the ailments that come from that portion of the damage, but it wont increase any damage that has not been physical damage and the ailments caused by it. For example any flat chaos damage you have will not be increased only chaos damage that was converted from physical. There should be some examples of this on those wiki links.

In general you will want to scale all you damage at once. It's possible to do builds that don't, it just gets more difficult with the scaling. Read through they difference between hit and DOT damage as well. Scaling DOT will increase both those ailments, but wont scale the hit portion.
Thanks ! That's helpful.
