Kirac mission difficulty
I have been doing the lower levels of maps for a couple days. (I am new)
So far, 1-5 has been an absolute cakewalk. I just did a Kirac mission at T5 and was getting absolutely deleted. As in, I don't even see a projectile and something is off-screening me and I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing here. Confused. Level 84, capped f, c, l res and 65% chaos and my damage is good enough to be facerolling normal T5 maps. Spec is ice nova hierophant 3.3k life and 1,8k shield...and I go from full to dead instantly and I see nothing. Last bumped on Oct 5, 2024, 2:52:06 PM

I went back in again and wondering if the monsters are reflecting damage? I went super slow to off-sceen them and instantly died again. Is this just an impossible map for glass cannons?

You should take in the map's modifiers before entering the map.
The modifiers can be confirmed in the map when using the full-screen map overlay instead of the corner minimap. The overlay can be toggled with Tab by default I think, and the map mods if hidden can be shown by clicking a button along the right side of the screen; alternatively, you can open Options to the UI tab and uncheck the options "Show Corner Map" and "Hide Map Overlay Mods". There are modifiers for reflecting physical or elemental damage, so that is a possibility. There are ways to offset reflected damage, though. A common combination being Soul of Yugul and a mastery for reduced reflected damage taken (Physical Mastery or Elemental Mastery). | |
" Forgive the derailing please. I did this a week ago when i hit Lv. 93 and tried a phys. reflect map, died 2 or 3 times in there. My observation was, i could survive the reflected damage from single monsters or small packs, but not from big mob packs (which i usually one shoot). Did i something wrong? BTW: Is there a way to view the pantheon from other player's characters (in Forum or in PoB)? relax - it's just ones and zeros!

If you don't have protection from reflect, then you shouldn't run this mod. With high damage, even 1% of reflect will kill you. And reflect damage is not calculated from your one hit, but from all the monsters you hit.

Yeah, I have officially learned the hard way to actually read the tool tips. Coming off blasting the campaign, I definitely got lazy.
I am avoiding reflected damage like the plague now. I have no reasonable way to get "enough" into the build I am playing so just selling or re-rolling those maps. |
