PC Sometimes Freezes and Locks Up ONLY When Mapping

Hey everyone, really hoping someone can shine light on this issue.

My PC will sometimes just completely freeze when mapping. I can’t alt-tab or anything. I see that the mouse will move around, but nothing is operational. I have to hard-reset each time. This wasn’t happening at all until the latest windows update last week. I have absolutely no other issues when doing other content or anything else. It’s ONLY when mapping which is so odd — and it’s not even every time I run a map. Sometimes I’ll go 2 hours with no problem. The freeze happens right when I enter the portal to enter the map. I have a high-end PC build, running a 4070 Super RTX, so I’m confident it isn’t a hardware issue.

Really hoping someone else is running into this so I can narrow down what’s going on. I have tried messing with graphics settings and all that (turning off dynamic resolution), but it doesn’t seem to help. Perhaps I need to update BIOS or some other driver?

Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
