runic enchant twohand mace and elemental debuffs

im using the two handed mace runic enchant phys dmg extra as each element, why dont i see shock and ignite debuff on enemies?
i dont know about ignite but shock debuff can be seen on enemies, ive seen it before from other sources like lightning shrine or blight towers.

im currently seeing the chilled debuff on enemies consistently, up all the time basically. But i never see the shocked debuff, why? also debuffs like sapped are visible.

can be damage so low that the shocked debuff doesnt even appear? chilled is 5-11 % and my damage is pretty fine i suppose, i did uber shaper and can clear fairly good t17s. Also i tested, ingame on an enemy with regen since theres no dps test ingame, and i didnt lose damage by switching to this enchant and replacing brutality with pulverise. I dont have any other elemental bonuses, im full physical, so damage dealt for chilled debuff to appear should be the same base as should appear for shocked. Using keystone Resolute Technique.

You need mods for chance to shock to apply shock. Cold damage has a 100% chance to apply chill. Elemental ailments are also applied on critical strikes regardless of chance, but you never deal critical strikes (Resolute Technique).

so i cant apply shocked only from shock damage, just chill works this way.

i was confused because wiki says "only cold damage is able to inflict chill" and since i apply it, it means im doing cold damage from the enchant. With this logic, wiki says "only lightning damage is able to inflict shock" and so i should apply it too with the enchant.

where do you know from that only cold damage applies chill? or it's just an info you have from experience

also what about ignited? shouldnt this be applied from my fire damage just as chilled applies from cold?

Ignite is only applied by crit, having % to ignite or always igniting like elementalist.
You could look up ignite or shock on poewiki.

Yes, "only lightning damage is able to inflict shock" (by default), but the base chance to inflict ailments is 0%. This can be increased by many passive skills and equipment modifiers. Some skill and support gems include modifiers that grant additional chance to inflict certain ailments.
The exception is chill (cold hits have 100% chance to inflict chill).
Also critical strikes have 100% chance to inflict ignite, freeze, and shock (with associated damage type).

I'm surprised you don't know this. Quite an old account, high level characters, and you don't know the basic mechanics?

This much, at least, is available from the in-game "Help Panel" that you can open by clicking the help button next to the big green SHOP button. The "Ailments" topic covers which elemental ailments come from which damage types, and the glossary mentions them as "special features" of the elemental damage types.

What I admittedly couldn't find there was about how non-crits have 0% chance to apply elemental ailments other than chill by default, while crits inherently have 100% chance to apply elemental ailments.

how could i know this or how could i have found it out? wiki doesnt specify it and neither does ingame help panel. Both places say shock damage applies shock, and thats it. I see my cold damage made extra from phys applies chill, and info says cold damage apples chill. So by this logic i though shock damage applies shock. But it doesnt, you need "chance to shock". And apparently ignite works the same, you need "chance to ignite" combined with flame damage. Does the flask suffix "chance to ignite shock chill" work with the ele damage extra from phys?
Maybe you know these stuff cuz playing long time with elements builds, but me only wiki was my info source which didnt inform me, global chat im either ignored or trolled.

yes same as i wrote above, how could i have known that i need "chance to shock" together with shock damage in order to shock, since chill works without "chance to chill". Or does that chance to shock work with any damage anyway? if i take chance to shock from flask suffix, will my ele dmg as extra from phys apply shock?

There is no such suffix. You're thinking "chance to ignite shock freeze".

For the "Gain % of Weapon Physical Damage as Extra Damage of each Element" enchantment, the flask suffix "% chance to Freeze, Shock and Ignite during Effect" would give you chance to freeze with the cold damage, chance to shock with the lightning damage, and chance to ignite with the fire damage. The cold damage is already inflicting Chill.

"A hit of damage that has a chance to shock is capable of inflicting shock. Critical strikes inherently have a 100% chance to shock."

This line has been on the wiki's Shock page since Dec 2014 in some form as the first line under the "Mechanics" header. Freeze and Ignite have similar lines, while Chill just says:
"A hit of Cold damage will attempt to inflict Chill. This will occur regardless of whether or not the hit critically strikes."

A clue would have been some lightning skill gems having "Chance to Shock" as a stat line. Conversely, there is the fact that there is no "Chance to Chill" stat in the game. Both of these can be seen on support gem available near the beginning of the game, "Elemental Proliferation Support".

For a perspective not tied to ever using Elemental Damage yourself...the fact that you aren't being constantly Ignited, Frozen, or Shocked by monsters using elemental skills, or in maps where monsters gain % of physical damage as Fire, Cold, or Lightning. Tide Striders in Act 1 are particularly annoying for the Chills they inflict, but you don't normally have to worry about being Frozen by them.

i see, something i didnt notice right away or didnt even think about looking at, im also using chill and freeze immunity constantly on all my chars so didnt notice that it's not tied to chance, and when enemies had chance to shock i was constantly shocked anyway, while my immunity was down at least. During leveling didnt even look at this kind of things.
Thanks for clarifications.
