Crystal Resonance Inconsistency

As of the last couple of days I have noticed that the amount of essences I am getting from the map boss has been low. After counting essences killed versus essences dropped from map boss for 10 maps in a row only two of them lined up (12 killed 12 dropped and 10 killed 10 dropped). Most of the time it tends to be 2-4 off. Linked below is a video of a map where I killed 12 essences and only got 10 dropped from the boss. (I assume at this point in the cycle it won't be fixed until next league so beware essence gamers.)

" I haven't dug too deep on this issue, though I think it was suggested before that boss monsters cannot take duplicate essences. This video seems to correlate with that. Let's look at the essences on the boss, then the essence monsters killed. From my observations of the video, I assume that they're listed on the boss in the order they were added, and so I'll be making assumptions as to which essence is being passed on from each essence monster.
