Escape Artist and Evasion Mastery interaction?

I'm not sure I'm reading the in-game info and wiki right, is this a bug?

With Escape Artist specced, I purchase the Evasion mastery "100% increase to Evasion Rating from Equipped Body Armour", and my ES rating is unchanged.
I cannot tell if this is a bug or WAD.
If WAD then this mastery does not raise the evasion rating of my body armour whatsoever, but that it only calculates the evasion of my body armour into my total...?
If that is the case, the wording of the mastery should be changed to reflect that.
Or is this interaction (EA and Evas mastery) bugged?

If you're not getting more ES, that sounds working to me. Escape Artist, like other similar nodes, only cares about the actual evasion on the armor. Anything increasing that specific value happens after Escape Artist has already pulled the value, so no extra ES gained.

This is consistent with the other "increased value from X" sources. If you would like it changed, you can make a suggestion post. But there are a ton of potentially very broken synergies if that stat works prior to the Escape Artist (and other similar stats) looking at the value of equipped item.
