Nameless Seer

Hi guys,

Scrying Apothacary made me go insane this league, after running about 100 maps I would like to share my theory on the nameless seer spawn.

If i am correct the nameless seer spawns when killing the last monster of a specific monster type. The seer randomly selects a monster type at the start of the map. 1 time during a map I saw 5 monster remain before walking into the boss room and then 0 after killing the boss.

I assumed that the boss of defiled cathedral counts as multiple monsters blocking the seer from spawning outside the boss room. Then again the seer can't spawn in the boss room. I did a run where i killed the boss first and then cleared the map and the seer instantly spawned.

Can someone confirm if this is true?

That is not true. He's pure RNG on spawn when you kill a mob.

Usually I have like 100 mobs left in my map when he spawns, seems to be pure RNG. If boss is dead or not, does not matter, and I don't think the mob types are relevant (this league) either. Mob types were a thing last league, when we had lanterns & stuff.

For Defiled Cathedral, usually people kill the boss after they cleared about half of map.

Do you have a post by GGG to reference? Because next to that, the wiki is the best source of info we have, and the spawn being tied to thelast monster of a type is the published consensus.
