Omen of Amelioration and Delve
Am lvl 99 currently at 39% AFTER an Omen of Amelioration did NOT trigger at lvl 258 between camp sites.
I am fully aware that the rules currently state that after 1 death and an Amelioration trigger, using a second will fail and result in a 10% skill point loss INSIDE a MAP. But I was in Delve. The last time I died in Delve and an Omen Amelioration triggered was back up at level 241 and I was level 98 at roughly 32%. Does the Omen of Amelioration ONLY WORK ONCE for the whole of Delve (multi character, hundreds probably thousands of levels, and single use) ? OR Does it work ONCE per 10, 25, 50, 100 levels ? Because its Delve. Who resets Delve like a Map reset ? Last bumped on Nov 3, 2024, 3:38:11 PM

It SHOULD work per INSTANCE, so whenever you get a loading screen when delving.
...but I'm not a programmer at GGG, so what do I know...?
Not really.
You ALWAYS get a loading screen going into a map. And its already been proven that IF an Omen of Amelioration triggers - You died - Spawning back at a hideout, loading your bag with another Omen - porting back in (The loading screen) only to die again means the second Omen will not work and bye bye 10% xp. (Having already lost 2.5% moments before). A new MAP into the machine means a NEW instance - reset. AND the OMEN 'should' work. Not so in Delve. ALL your characters will enter the SAME DELVE, within (I believe..) the same Realm (Standard, SSF, etc), so, (unconfirmed as yet) its NOT a complete RESET (A NEW Delve) its the SAME DELVE as before, which, as my original post stated, seems wrong, because the SCOPE of Delve is HUGE compared to A SINGLE MAP. So. Is it a bug, or incomplete coding, separating Delve Instance mechanics from Map Instance mechanics ? BECAUSE I've never heard of anyone resetting Delve.
If you're in a map, get back to hideout, then enter the map again, it's the SAME instance. Not a new one.
As for delve an instance is a 5x5 grid of tiles. Trying to go to a node outside will load a new instance. https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Delve#Instances If you're feeling adventurous, load up on flares and keep running in a direction. You'll soon hit an invisible wall (the instance edge). Last edited by MagosX on Nov 3, 2024, 3:38:55 PM
