patch 3.25.3 pathetic download speed

After realm down I'm trying to download the 3.25.3 patch.
It's 4.something GB in size.
Should be no problem I'm on Gb fiber.
But the download speed is horrible. This will take many hours.
Other websites and traffic to/from internet work fine.
This specifically is a POE problem.

Same from my side.
From what it look like the game is trying to establish connection again every time it need to download a file and it happen in sequence instead of simultaneously, consider there is a lot of down time with the speed stay at 0B/s, and from what it look like there is about thousands of files need to be downloaded individually (it should have been a large compressed file and be extracted with client launcher after finish downloading).
The x64 executable from my client is dead as well because I stop the downloading mid-way to try downloading through VPN, which I later find out that the executable now weight 0B (this was how I figured out files are downloaded individually).
This has never been a problem, someone made an oopsie at GGG with this update.
They just don't care about PoE1 anymore .
same here
Patching one sticky note file at a time! gg
livestream has technical difficulties also...sigh
it is still faster than ms flight sim 2024..

Same issue here. Never had a problem downloading patches before. Seems like I won't be playing tonight. Feels the same as the recent big account patch, when the downtime was many hours.

I really hate it that I cannot play when I have the time, which is only a few hours every other day.
The most painful thing here is the entire patch note of 3.25.3 is:
"Added support for our upcoming Path of Exile 2 announcement and new Supporter Packs."
Which I personally don't care about because I am trying to keep myself spoiler free until the game is fully released.
The Early Access is still a while away, they should have scheduled the open sale of supporter pack, the announcement stream and the in game integration of relevant assets in a wider time span for smoother deployment instead of clump all up together in 1 hour for some meager "hype" effect, and accidentally destroy someone's enjoyment for the day because of minor mistakes.
