GGG - Do we have 6 portals to finish a map in poe2 or death = map is closed and "bricked"

"If you die the map can no longer be run". By the sound of it, it means that one death = map closes and you are not allowed to run it again.
Then again we can see 6 portals opening. Are portals just for the disconnections/party/trade/stash or can we use them to try again?

They answered this during the Q&A, portals are just for disconnects/party/trade/stash as you say, so if we die the map is toast. At least at launch, we'll see.
