new core support packs question pleae!

hello GGG, im really curious as for why we are having a big step back with weapon skins in support packs now going back many years intime into specific weapon skins for specific weapons like many years ago?

the skin for specific weapons on support pack never really worked great and it was a huge upgrade and step in the right direction to make support packs weapon skins universal in the last few years.. . im really wondering why this new set of core support pack went back to weapon skins for a specific weapon type? thank you !
