Suggestion: Bench Craft to Remove Influence from Items
Any reason why there shouldn't be a bench craft that totally removes the influence from an item, including any influenced affixes or implicits?
For example: This item I got from Rog, which I mistakenly added influence to, now cannot have Exarch/Eater implicits despite there being no actual influenced mods on the item. I basically ruined it. Seems unusual that there is no way to fix it. Please consider and thanks for reading. Last bumped on Nov 24, 2024, 6:25:29 PM

I don't mean to sound rude, but is there something on that item that is hard to obtain crafting in other ways? You have to roll with the punches (bricks) when you're crafting. Its just part of it.

I realize the helmet is not anything special compared to other items perhaps, and worth close to nothing on trade leagues, but for SSF, a five t1 mod helm with two of those mods being item rarity and a free suffix to craft the Janus IIR mod is something... Definitely not a thing I find often.
In any case, it was just an example of a situation where the suggestion of the bench craft would be useful. It is simply there to get the point across. Last edited by D623932883#0055 on Nov 24, 2024, 5:07:53 PM

I think the lesson here is dont add influence if you want eater/exarch influence.
there are a lot of crafting steps that can brick items, its just part of the learning process |

I can understand that way of thinking, but there are times when little things are easily overlooked. I just think a bench craft would be about as fair as the remove enchantment option that exists.
But I can see why you may disagree. |

Honestly this isn't a bad idea in theory.
Like if your influence mod isn't desirable you can just remove it or more importantly say a item drops influenced, and the influence mod is bad, but the other mods are godtier. Just remove the bad mod |

It would pretty much nuke Bestiary. Least for me.
