Cross-Platform Supporters Can Spend Way More Than $480 and Treated Differently for Early Access
I wanted to bring attention to an issue regarding POE2's early access policy that affects multi-platform supporters. This scenario highlights an unexpected limitation in the current system.
The Current Situation The $480 early access threshold considers purchases on a single platform only, even when a player's total cross-platform investment exceeds this amount. For example: • A player could spend $450 on PC and $450 on Xbox (totaling $900) • Despite the combined total being well above the threshold, they would not qualify for early access Key Considerations Account Merging Context Since accounts can now be merged across platforms, it raises questions about why purchase history remains platform-specific for early access qualification. Impact on Loyal Supporters This particularly affects dedicated players who have supported the game across multiple platforms, potentially investing more than single-platform players who do qualify. Questions for Consideration • Could there be a system to recognize total support across merged accounts? • What is the reasoning behind keeping platform purchases separate for early access qualification? I believe addressing this would better align with GGG's historically fair approach to supporter recognition. This feedback aims to highlight an opportunity for improving the early access system to better serve multi-platform supporters. " Doubt it will happen as it’s too late to do this, but I (and I’ve only played one platform so am impartial) 100% agree. |
