Passive Tree QOL idea
I've seen a few good suggestions for the passive tree UI. But one thing I'd like to see is to have in game blank tree templates (perhaps with a built in toggle for weapon swap) that you can plug as many points as you want to (up to the 122 or whatever max) just like let's say a basic Path of Building template.
Then as you view your character's passive tree you can select one of your templates and when you mouse over any nodes you can reach on your character's tree, it would show a list of notables that are further down that nodes "path" on the active template. The list could be sorted by default in order of least points to reach to most points. And if the node you hover over is not on your template, it doesn't show any notable listed, so you know you're deviating. This way if you want to use an existing build guide, you can plug it into an in game template, and be able to see at a glance what your next node would lead to so you don't need refer to an outside tree again to know which of your branches to take first. Would also help adjust builds if you happen to find items that are worth changing your build for without a constant need to keep referring to sources outside the game. Could maybe also add a feature for you to give a priority order to your notables on the template, so the notable that is "next" on your priority list would highlight a brighter color on the list. Maybe that next notable could even show up highlighted on your character's tree, or even highlight the entire templates path to reach it. Last bumped on Nov 28, 2024, 2:51:34 PM
