Idea to 'replace' the Ascendant Ascendancy in PoE2

What if every class was able to choose a subclass specialization when they complete the campaign without ascending? Obviously locking themselves out of ascension but able to spend passive points starting from that second class' start, and gain additional stats/passive points like the Ascendant used to. No unique ascension bonuses. ~10 points, and ~30 stats corresponding to that class.

It is less advantageous overall, you miss power gain through the campaign that you could otherwise have. The subclass doesn't need to have unique bonuses (of 2 sub ascendancies) necessarily, like the Ascendant did (and if they did then you would need to design 18 of those which is extremely hard to balance). Because this is more of a meme choice for meme builds, so should be easier to code too.

The main advantage is of course the mixed start and allowing more weird builds like warrior + CI. Or witches who don't like their ascendancies. And again, probably not worth it overall but its at least something for the purists to try if they want.
