And not everything being compiled into one thing named Reddit. It has a certain charm to it.

They have a certain charm to them. I love the forums here.
This is just a copy/pate from the feedback section I had about the forums, more so about PoE 2 forums.
"
I think it should be similar to what we have now. Maybe even it's own integrated section so both 1 and 2 forum are combined, but separated, such as how there is a "help" section and "feedback" section that is collapsible.
I don't have many places that feel like the "old" internet I go to anymore, and I really appreciate the forum we have here.
I like that I feel like I can join a multi month/year long discussion and catch myself up if I want to, and it's not some fragmented discord chat room.
I like we have regulars and sometimes you don't see them post for months and then when they pop back up you're like "Yo, I was wondering about that dude".
I like that we have some people that have so many supporter packs they can type a single letter and take up half a page, it's like a top military official coming into a room with all their medals, except they are really whales with all their barnacles.
Could there be some updates to make the forum a little better, sure, but in general I really like how it feels.
So yeah, to sum it up, I hope you have a forum in PoE 2 as well, and it's similar(ideally integrated with the PoE 1 forum) to this one.

i actually prefer the old forum format because in a way it gatekeeps in a way.
the way i see it is online communities USED to be a small handful of passionate people.
reddit used to be that. but its full of normies.
there its a popularity contest.
one popular meme on poe subreddit which got a lot of upvotes was a meme stating how GGG promised that POE2 would not affect POE1.
a lot of people were chiming in.
i actually pointed out GGG NEVER SAID THAT. THERES NO SUCH PROMISE. in fact i pointed out that its likely everyone is misremembering. the reality is GGG promised that RUTHLESS would not affect POE1.
i asked for proof to substantiate this claim. NO ONE gave any substantial proof.
at most someone linked a timestamp of GGG mentioning how they would dedicate resources to POE1 but didnt mention anywhere that POE1 would be affected.
reddit is a popularity contest.
whether or not your posts see the light of day depends on whether people who view "new" posts LIKE your post enough to upvote it. if you have an opinion or even a fact, if people dont like it, it gets downvoted and thats the end of it.
as for POE1 and POE2 forums. i would like them to be separated.
