Am I the only one too excited about POE 2?
Or has it been impossible to focus on playing any other game for the last month?
I waste time on creating characters but get bored with them so quickly. Even with the ptr and gift mode in D4. I upgraded all the way and then.... now what? lol. I am so stoked for tomorrow, or the next day, knowing how these these roll out. I am actually setting it up so that I will be having two of my grandsons and their father, my son, all set up to play here on two couch co-op setups in a group. I know there will be negative players complaining 5 mins after the start of the early access when the server's are overloaded. "I paid $30 for this, I want my money back." Will probably have some comment on this post, but don't give a rat's tail. As a 63 year old gamer who has played for 50 years, developed software professionally for 40 years, and lastly a POE 1 player for 7+ years, I honestly think this is the most excited I have been for a game yet. Don't even care if bugs come up, as long as I can create a char and do some of the campaign I will be good. GGG has been the best gaming company as far as communication and customer service, let alone creating rocking games that gamers truly want to play. I am proud to support their efforts even on the leagues I didn't get into playing that much. Last edited by ShavedDome#6558 on Dec 5, 2024, 2:20:06 PM Last bumped on Dec 5, 2024, 9:14:28 PM

thanks for the very inspiring and positive posts.
i think only programmers and experienced gamers can value what ggg pulled off in times (2012) of subscription based games and free to play games which mostly contained "pay to win" shit. "play our game and support it only if you like it", that's the spirit of programmers of open source software who want to give to the community to get recognition (not really money) for what they create. i sometimes pity those folks who never had the chance to play games on a commodore64 or amiga500, wasting nights on games that here hard like a rock, trying over and over again to beat the challenges presented, nowadays games are mostly entertainment software. let's hope poe2 will not become a sofa game. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

super excited!
my only worry is the whole wasd thing. seen too many vidyas where wasd seems to be required to pull the most out of the ranged build. not a fan of wasd. i'll start with a melee char i guess. |

I still can't fully grasp the fact that PoE 2 "releases" tomorrow, thats crazyyy.

being too excited can be dangerous :)

" wasd is for ego shooters. and for arpgs that want to compensate keyboard/mouse users for the two joysticks controlers have. of course it doesn't work and i thought ggg would get that. i can't use one thumb to press wasd but joystick users can age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I think Talkative Tri is probably the only one more excited than OP.
