Console Versus PC Early Access Keys
|
At no point on the supporter pack page is it clearly delineated that purchasing a supporter pack on their official website does NOT carry over to console. On their FAQ page it does mention it but I personally feel that it is not clearly explained there at all. For example:
“Can I purchase new Supporter Packs on Consoles?” ‘Supporter Packs for Sony realms (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) will become available on December 6th PST when Path of Exile 2 launches in Early Access.’ “How to redeem a key?” ‘Upon purchasing your first supporter pack that includes an Early Access key, that key will be automatically redeemed on the account the purchase was made. You don’t have to do anything else, just download the game client when it’s available and login on launch day! If you have purchased a key and/or have access granted for one PC game client (Stand-alone, Steam, or Epic), but wish to play on another game client, you will be able to do so by claiming a key to unlock access to that client. These are available at my-account/early-access and can be redeemed on the relevant platform's store. Please note these keys only unlock the client in your library, they do not on their own provide early access to your account.‘ Once you ‘know’ it’s easy to understand but when I was reading the FAQ the first time and when I was on the supporter pack page, I did not know. I am looking at the PlayStation store now and it only has the 30$, 60$ and the 100$ supporter packs. Does that mean, playing on console I can’t get any other packs? Does GGG track purchases made on Sony realms to begin with? For example, if I purchase the 100$ pack on the PlayStation store, can I later spend 60$ to get the 160$ pack or would I then need to spend 160$ to get the pack? And if GGG can track that, why can I not receive a redemption code on the PlayStation store to just get the game after purchasing from PoE’s official website. Vice versa, if I purchase the 160$ supporter packs on the PoE website, if I purchase the 100$ pack on the PlayStation store, does that unlock the 240$ pack on my account? I'm having a very similar issue with 2 of my buddies, one bought access on poe website for early access and come to find out it doesn't give access on playstation. Which is not at all clearly stated. Even during the initial interview they said go on the website and purchase a supporter pack for EA.
Second friend I gave my +1 key to, he redeemed it on the website(it nevers asks what platform for access and he plays on playstation as well). I've also emailed them, my friend that bought his access also emailed them and haven't heard a word about a refund or anything. |

Anything related to accounts and keys and what not is not on their priority list. I can only hope they get a team to get around to it eventually.
