A friend gave me a key cause they had bought a supporter pack... but I can't play?

My friend played A LOT of POE 1. They were given a free key for lifetime support. They had already bought a supporter back on Steam, so they gave me the key.

I redeemed the Key on November 27th on Steam with no issues. I've preoloaded the game on Steam but I can't log in as I get the following error.

"Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access. Redeem an Early Access Key on our Website or purchase access now."

What is going on? How do I fix this?

Does your account say on this website say you have access or not? I never checked and mine does not say I have access - so I assume I can't even download the standalone to try playing.

Mine says the same on website and my account has been synced to my steam account for years as this is a old account.

Guess we are just gonna have to bump this thread untill they notice us or something cause they wont be answering e-mails for days probably.
Will add that uninstalling the game and installing it from scratch on steam wont do anything, just tried that incase it would work ;p

No way, theres gotta be a fix somehow and we have evidence from steam as you get a receipt when claiming games.. They cant dodge this problem forever!
