Hot tip for better looking graphics
|
Don't use the default upscaling mode "NIS", but switch to either FSR or DLSS depending on your graphics card, and set quality to No Upscale.
Context: When I started playing I noticed that everything looked grainy and not quite right, but didn't think too much of it. However when I got to the Hunting Grounds, the grass looked completely wrong like a soup of pixel, especially when moving. This is a dithering effect used to make complex small shapes like grass or hair render easier for your GPUs. But let's be honest, it looks like hot garbage. Then I started playing with the upscale mode and saw the problem. Now everything looks so much better, it's night and day. You're welcome. edit: I find there's a loss of contrast with FSR that I can somewhat offset by increasing the brightness slider by 1 or 2 ticks, but it isn't perfect. So not quite the perfect solution but better than a soup of dithered pixels. Last edited by Thalandor#0885 on Dec 7, 2024, 11:27:42 AM Last bumped on Dec 7, 2024, 10:16:53 AM
