Stash issue in asendency area

In the area after you get done with the sanctum run and you open chests and select your ascendancy. I was trying to use the Y button to auto stash things in my stash and it was dropping them on the floor instead. when i went out of the room and it put me back Infront of where you start the trial and there is a stash there that one had no issue.
