[POE 2] Sudden performance drop
I was playing the game at 60 fps and everything was fine, decided to close the game and do something else, when i return 30 minutes later the game is running at 10-12 fps lower than before, on the exact same map and exact same place
There's no enemies or particles on the screen and yet my GPU is at 99% utilization, and again, it wasn't like that before! i didn't change ANYTHING at all, neither on the pc itself neither on the game settings Specs: CPU Ryzen 5 3600 GPU RX 6600 16GB ram 3200 mhz SSD 1TB M.2 nvme gen 4 Windows 10 22h2 Game Settings: Renderer: Direct X12 (I wasn't using Vulkan because it looks worse but changing to it increases performance a little bit by 2-3 fps) Mode: Fullscreen Vsync: Adaptive Dynamic Resolution ON Windows Resolution 1920 x 1080 Upscale Mode FSR Quality mode Texture quality high Texture filtering 4x Lightning Shadows Shadow + Gi quality: shadows Sun shadow quality low Number of Lights low Water detail high *I've seen a few people with the exact same problem, I'm going to download the standalone client to see if the problem is only with the steam version* EDIT: No difference between standalone client and steam client. The game was running fine at 60 now it runs only at 45 fps, with 99& gpu utilization without anything happening on the screen... PLEASE GGG SEE THIS AND FIX IT ASAP, ty EDIT 2: The lower fps can be seen even in the login screen, with DX12 or Vulkan i get between 41-42 FPS now, but when i change to DX11 I get 60 fps again, and it wasn't like that before, DX12 and even Vulkan was working fine at 60 fps before! EDIT 3: Almost every time there's a new patch this problem ressurges again, it's literally 1 step forward 1 step back, they already fixed this problem multiple times before, but it's not a permanent solution because it keeps happening every other day or so.. I wish it will help:
"If you experience stutters in PoE2 DO this: 1) Update latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard. (be very careful with BIOS update watch guides or use help of experienced tech guys) 2) Do NOT change NVIDIA control panel settings for PoE2. 3) Do NOT disable Full screen optimization in EXE files of the game. 4) CLOSE all your browsers and their processes in your system [in my case opened Chrome cause stutters every 2-3 seconds] 5) Turn OFF NVIDIA Reflex in game options tab. Info for devs - mostly problem located in working browsers IDK how this correlate with PoE2 performance but it is! My system: AMD 5600X / Nvidia RTX 3070 / 32GB DDR4 RAM / 2x NVME M2 / WINDOWS 10 Pro / Steam Client" |

" Bro the problem was 'fixed' at first at least for me, but it's happening again wtf GGG Create a new thread here on the technical support or anywhere else really, talking about your problem, they need to see this and fix it again |

" Still happening huh? Please make a new thread here on the forums so that GGG finally fixes this once and for all, this is a huge recurring problem, they fix it for a day or two and then it breaks again when a new patch comes in |
