Honor System is Absolute Trash
[Removed by Support] The funniest part of all of this is the entire community likes the second trial(it's slightly harder than the first one cause harder enemies) more then the first one just because there's no honor in the second trial. GGG do us all a HUGE favor and remove honor from the first trial and consider firing the person who thought of the worst idea to add in PoE 2.

I kinda agree with you. Good luck doing trial as melee in this game. I had to respec to ranged monk in order to ascend for the first time.
Also this mechanics just pushes you to skip enemies. It worked in POE1 but in POE2 seems off |

Its bad and they should feel bad. Whats the point of having health and Energy shield if some arbitrary third psudo life bar exits.

As melee its just very demotivational... Also look at the most streamers, for example, playing a warrior as a dull pillar spammer... omg! There is no way that this EA is ballanced between melee and ranged classes and also playstyles! This would be my first "fix" priority GGG |

I came here to see everyone else thoughts. Big time souls game player and Diablo player. This game is definitely a mix of both with the dodge rolls and timing. That's fine and good. When the honor system comes into play as a melee build its absolute trash. How am I supposed to hit this boss without getting hit or taking damage when I need to be right on top of him..... Absolutely horrible design and needs to go or be adjusted. Melee is just not built for this.

If you want the labs equiv to be hard great - do it - but doing it this way is just unfair to mele/ tanks. We are okay with taking hits - that is kinda our thing - we have ways to heal - also our thing. being forced to play mele as essentially ranged is just stupid. this is one of the best games ever made. you need to do better on this not just give us other ways to gest asc points. please fix to make fair - hard sure - but fair. whoever thought this was a good idea rather than actually making the content itself hard was lazy and anti fun.

as melee took me 3 tries, i play warrior now. stack some buffs to reduce % honor lost, and always pick the escape + hour glass and just run around lol

The fireball traps on the third floor are kinda BS I haven't cracked them yet.
You need to prioritise the shrines that give honor back that's the single most important room for ascending. You could look for honor resistance relics. Look out for the two bosses of the second floor, melee will have a blast with getting 1/4 total honor deleted when their attacks (that cover half the screen) connect. This trial is NOTHING like sanctum, there are bs attacks from white mobs that chip away your honor, not telegraphed at all. There's so many core design philosophies like the honor and ascendency system that need total reworks. Feels bad. There's too many problems for them to be able to fix this. It would take another 2 years and a new dev team with fresh ideas.
