Difficulty picking up items with Unearth on left click

Observed Behavior: With Unearth on my left click slot, I am able to pick up items from the ground but only with extreme difficulty. The game acts as though I need to be in a specific location relative to the item before I can interact with it. Having my inventory open seems to increase the range at which I can interact, but it's hard to tell. The range at which I can interact with the items also appears to increase over time, but again it's hard to tell. Smaller items like scrolls are harder to pick up than big items like weapons. If my inventory is full, the animation of the item being dropped does not play even if the bug would otherwise allow me to pick up the item.

Expected Behavior: The choice of which skill is on which button should not impact the ability to interact with such a core mechanic.

Repro Steps:
1) Unlock Unearth
2) Place Unearth on the left-click slot
3) Kill stuff
4) Try picking up items.

With further testing, the issue is definitively due to having Unearth on left-click. The issue also extends to interactions with other objects in the world, including chests and portals but not NPCs and doors as far as I can tell.

Have the same issue, just as described.

Have messed with multiple pick up key options in my settings - from dedicating a key to using the highlight key to turning pick up key off and on. Doesn't seem to make much difference in behavior.
