Halani Gates bug with the second gate

I am at Halani Gates, past the first Gate Mechanism, but before the second one.
I triggered the voice line to get past the second gate, but moved back to kill a rare mob that I had left behind. It dropped some items that I wanted, went back to city through a portal and now that I am back at the Halani Gates I can't trigger the event where the NPC helps me to open the second gate.

same thing happened to me. same scenario. NPC won't move from Rare Monster area after portal to town and back.

I encountered the same bug. Any solutions?

All mobs killed, whole map/area revealed, gate mechanism shows up on map, but it's not possible to interact with it.

Also ASALA the NPC is nearby (behind a corner off the gate), but same issue, she is not interactable.

Afaik, the only solution is to reset the instance. (use the waypoint, ctrl-click on the location and select new instance)

Encountered this. May have something to do with Asala as I think she automatically opens it usually. Worked after resetting the zone.
