Stuck at Trial of Corruption

Stuck at the "Fight your way to the second Gate and open it" section. The girl refuses to follow me, I've tried to reset the instance numerous times and even logged out to see if the quest starts back to the beginning, but nothing works.

This has happened to me as well. I'm not sure if I did it to myself or not.

I got to the second gate entrance, heard Asala speak, then doubled back for the Impaler.

During the Impaler fight, I stepped out of the area the Impaler is in, opened a town portal and went to the caravan to replenish my health pot. I came back in fully expecting the Impaler to be reset but it was at half health, so I finished the Impaler fight.

Now Asala is stopped in the Impaler area, will not move, no means to speak to her to continue and game3 progression has stopped.

I do not know how to reset the quest.

Update: I used CNTRL click on the waypoint to create a new instance of the Gates.
