Ascent to Power cruel difficulty bug

In act 2 cruel difficulty my Ascent to Power quest seems to be bugged.

Initially, I go to Traitor's Passage, kill Balbala for the Ascent to Power quest. I fast travel to the trial, put in my key and fail to complete the trial. I go back to retry and my key is gone. Re-killing Balbala does not drop me another key and my quest never surpasses "Search Traitor's Passage". Is my ascendancy quest completely bricked now?

Same issue. I have finished all campaign quests except the 2 trials quest in cruel difficulty, completed both trials multiple times but they are both bugged/softlocked and won't go away. I cannot access map device because I "need to complete campaign quests" first. Extremely frustrating...

Did you kill Balbala before activating the quest? That's what I did and I feel like it triggered this problem for me. Still haven't figured out how to fix it.

Bump, I have the same issue; completely progression locked because of this.
Cleared the Traitor's Passage multiple times;

The first time I killed the boss I never was given a coin in general. The quest is still labeled "search Traitor's Passage"
I'm level 69 and still haven't completed my 3rd ascendancy.

I have the same problem. I've killed Balbala multiple times and can't get the quest item to drop. Stuck on "Search Traitor's passage" even though I've cleared it multiple times. Can't get my third ascendancy.

I am in the same spot. The quest says "Search traitor's passage for more info". I have cleared it, killed Balbala - she had never dropped a green quest item.

I still have a couple of Djinn Baryas from monster drops. I can only hope they will let me finish the trial, but if so, the quest should say finish the trial, not Search Traitor's Passage.

Please fix.
