Can't replay "The Trials of Chaos" side quest

I died in the Trials of Chaos on the second floor. When I was returned to the entrance the door was open, the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum item I place on the alter was still there and I could remove it and place it back with no change. When trying to re-enter the trial, I get the message "You cannot rejoin after dying". I've closed the game out and relogged in and its still the same. Is this suppose to happen or did I just find a bug? I want to do this quest but it's not allowing me to.

Came across your post while I had this same issue. Pick up the quest item, place it back down, then hit "close", followed by "open".

you don't need to remove it, just close and open is fine

I met the same issue just now. I followed your suggestion picked it up, and put back again. But i didn't see any "close" button, there is only "open" button i can interact with, and whenever i hit "open" it says "the operation could not be complted".

After I failed the first trial, the entrance to the trial was not closed. When I tried to enter again, the system said "Cannot connect to instance. That subarea no longer exists"

I am having the same issue. There is no option to close.
