poe2 legacy of vaal bug stone alter

i picked up the small soul stone but i cant open the door because the alter wont interact. i did portal out of the dungeon after finding the stone and when i ported back it was on the ground and it seems like the game doesnt know i have the stone, the dungeon wont reset and i have no way of abandoning the quest and restarting does anyone have a simmular issue

same issue, the altar does not interact for me after I pickup the stone. Cannot progress from there

Same issue here. Relogging and dropping item doesn't fix.

Reloading the area at the waypoint worked for me.

Can not progress: Stone Altar not accepting small Soul Core
I am in Jaquan's Machinarium, I have Small Soul Core in my inventory. Each time I leave this zone the core drops to the ground so it must be a "use here" item. I have cleared the map entirely up to the door beyond the altar.

The Legacy of the Vaal quest tracker is instructing me to "Place the small Soul Core into the Stone Altar". When move my cursor over the stone Altar it lights up indicating that it can be interacted with. Clicking on it but nothing happens no error or animation.

Just reloaded the game launcher again and confirmed that there is no new patch to download.

Found a work around, Entered a new map by holding ctrl and clicking on the Machinarium waypoint from the Encampments Waypoint.

Did not Summon Alva and went to find the Core.

Placed in the altar again without summoning Alva.

Door opened.

Had the same problem but reesetting the instance solved it for me.

Same problem. I died on the boss and when I respawned, the core was gone. Had to go looking for it and it showed up in the beginning area.

so none of these options ended up working for me. didn't matter where i reloaded from, alva was still standing in the way of the alter with no way to move her. thankfully, i hadn't cleared out the right side of the map at the point yet, so i went over there and gathered up every single mob that i could. i brought them back to alva and this caused her to actually move and fight instead of looking at the alter, so i was able to slip past and put the stone in while she was distracted with the hoard.
