Logout on Controller Disconnect

Dear GGG,
First of all, thanks for the new game. I have been enjoying it immensely. Now onto my feedback. I play on PC with controller. Currently, for me at least, the game automatically logs you out when it detects the controller has been disconnected. My USB cable is a little old and the controller can disconnect if i put the controller down at the wrong angle (my problem of course not yours). The immediate disconnect has been a little annoying, especially when there was dialogue happening, and when I logged back in the dialogue did not replay. Can the game pause instead of logging us out on disconnect? Thanks for all your hard work. Last bumped on Jan 12, 2025, 8:26:32 PM

Hi, I get the same issue also. Playing on Xbox, happens if the controller happens to run out of battery. Also on maps its really frustrating as if I'm in the middle of a map, I lose the map progress and the map token. Was not actually a controller disconnect on one occasion and I think a random server connection issue. Was really harsh 😢 but it happens with controller disconnect too.

They should have a flag like in PoE 1 for console where you can decide if you want to logout or not.

its so infuriating.
there are 2 of us in our house using controllers, we both have this issue constantly. our controllers are basically fine, we play a lot of different games with them, none of them ever boot us out. but poe does, multiple times every session. its so annoying. |
