Elemental Invocation Meta gem help

I can't seem to slot anything inside this meta gem.
I'm a monk and is aware most of my skills are attacks but charged staff won't let me socket into it. Is there a separate UI for linking skills? how do i set the meta gem`s trigger? Last bumped on Dec 14, 2024, 1:51:44 PM

Are you socketing spells into it? Make sure it's says "spell" in the gem tag and NOT attack.

Having the same issue. Charged staff is a Spell, so it should work. Is it because if elemental invocation is level 8 but the charged staff spell is level 9, it wont socket?

Charged Staff is an attack so it cannot be socketed into cast on shock
