Need help with account merge

So I have POE2 on Xbox and thought it was fun enough to get on steam so I could play on my legion go. Well after I merged my account all my characters are gone and everything. It’s like they don’t even exist. I need help because this makes me not even want to play if I have to start over and lose my characters names as well
