Path of Exile 2 Reforger feedback
I'm really loving PoE2 as a whole combat feels good, game looks and sounds great, there are a few tuning dials that could probably be touched but I feel those will be addressed in time.
That being said if I had to give one big feedback it's that I would like to see the reforger turned into more of a PoE 1 recombinator and here is my reasoning for that: - With the current basic crafting where we are transmute + aug + regal in alot of cases brings us back to alteration spamming but with more steps - With the reforger in the game we are essentially in a situation of sudo ateration or chaos spamming pieces of gear The recombinator would bring us a feature that allows ground loot to feel good to ID because you may get a couple good mods you can smash together or if you transmute 2 white items and get 2 good mods you can smash those together. This recombinator could be a very simplified version of the current PoE1 variant that just 50/50s the mods. This would still give players a but more control over their crafting rather than the current RNG sudo reforge system we have Overall I like the game but I think this solution or some other solution that brings more player influence could be good without getting us back to the spam regorge situation Last bumped on Jan 13, 2025, 6:47:25 PM

+1, nice idea. Current state of reforging is quite usefull, but making it as recombinator would be an awesome layer to this mechanic.
Also i feel that we should pay with gold for reforging. |

Also, can we have the result of reforger use median item level instead of minimum item level please.
Doing a 3 for 1 with an ilvl 81, 81, and 80, and getting out an 80 is irritating to me. |

One thing that might be nice could be to give the reforger/recombinator a Reagent slot, add a group of reagent items that could have different properties for item recombination, for instance "Keep the highest tier modifier of $TYPE" or "Discard any modifiers of $TYPE"
Maybe allow the use of Essences to change the affinity of a reagent. |
