I play games for fun, this aint that

Explain to me how this is fun
50% of the players know what they are doing
The remaining 50% i am assuming wont be playing by xmas
Yes its early release but if the game sucks hard from day 1 and a ton of people are struggling while the POE1 vets say dont lower the difficulty then your player base is going to die.

The bosses are OP as fark and you need a very specific build or class to get them down
Some of the classes just suck currently and if you were unlucky enough to start one then that's 20 hours done

The game is great, the theory is awesome but the playability sucks
I like a challenge and the mobs are tuned to perfection but the bosses are so over powered.
The Ascension system is aids with the honor loss and full reset on failing the boss fight
I have 30,000 hours of collective game play and will happily put 4000 hours into a game i enjoy
I need to be able to enjoy my gaming time and this is far from enjoyable.
If players cant make endgame then why play

So... don't play?
Game gets much better and easier as you progress. By Act 3 my character feels really strong and plays well. Merc Grenades.

But feel like complete ass through the entirety of Act 1 and part of Act 2.

They need to work on the smoothing out the power curve and adding more drops to the early game, and possibly toning it down just a bit. No point in running off all the players as they play Dark Souls-lite in Act 1, then play no Quicksilver Flask normal PoE in Act 3, when you start ramping up.

So the power fantasy of getting stronger is there, just with a lengthy campaign and overall slower leveling and less item drops, I do think the early game is just a little bit TOO much of a slog.

Increasing item drops would go a long ways in making it feel better early on, IMO.

The scaling atm feels like a College Professor that does everything they can week 1 to run 50% of the class off, and then dials it back and becomes cool after everyone drops the class and only half remain. Act 1 is almost designed to just run people off, by Act 3 you are just rolling like normal PoE.

This sounds like the same type of thing people wrote and thought and complained about Cuphead, that it was too hard and they wanted an easy mode. It wasn't. Or all those articles asking for Devs to make modes with no combat. Just makes me wonder what websites all these game journalists in the comments write for. I'd bet IGN.
