Currency Exchange Deletes currencies from stash upon canceling order

Hello, I just saw the currency exchange is deleting currency when canceling an order. For example: I created an order for 1 Exalted to be bought for 1 lesser jeweler orb, and when I canceled the order, it notifies that I will forfeit the gold used to create the order, which is fine.

However, when I went back to my stash tab, I noticed I had one less jeweler orb than original. I originally had 3, and after canceling the order, I was left with only 2. I tried to recreate the issue, and once again after canceling the order, the stash tab once again had one less jeweler orb, and now only have 1 remaining. Is there a way to get back my orbs?

Isn't the currency in the market? You need to take it back from there.
