Rolling to dodge doesn't work

Since yesterday the character has been stuck and the "roll to dodge" action doesn't work. I've tried changing the key, moving around the map but there's no way to get it to work. Any ideas on how to fix it?

For me, rolling (button b) stopped working before the boss in Machinarium. The rolling icon shows that it works but the character doesn't roll. I don't know why it doesn't work.
