gembloom skull didn't drop

so i just killed the boss in cruel difficulty and died immediately after and when i went to see if it still dropped after i died i saw that it didn't and now I can't get the +30 spirit. It's also worth noting that i did try and redo the boss three times and it still didn't drop. please fix this GGG
