Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - Cant update the game post recent patch - Forum

I laready tried rebooting system, deleting the game and downloading a new one, but still keep getting that error: " Could not overwrite executable with new patched executable. Please make sure that PAthOFExile.exe or PathOfExile.tmp are not still running. If necessary, you may need reboot your computer. Same problem here for poe 2. Tried renaming both problematic files and do a repair, reboot etc. didn't help edit : what worked in deleting pathofexile.exe then renaming the .tmp into a .exe and running again.
