[PoE2] Sacrificial heart quest A3 - cannot finish

So I've had the sacrificial heart from A3 in my inventory when I killed the final boss. Now the gateway takes me to cruel and I can't go to Aggorat and finish the quest anymore.

I have the same issue and I cannot find a fix.

edit: after playing a bit of act 1 cruel, i went back to act 3 and was in the version where the aggorat was accessible so i could complete the quest. I still do not know how to intentionally travel between the different versions, because going through the portal always teleports me to act 1 cruel. I think there should be a way to choose which destination the portal takes you.
