Controller Issues on PC

I am playing on PC with an Xbox controller and it works amazingly well! But, there are a couple of niggling issues:

1) You cant pick up items, or activate gem statues in the Escape rooms in Trials, when any enemies are present. My friend can do these things using M/Kb while enemies are present, but not with the controller.

2) When hovering over (or highlighting) items in inventory, the info tile that pops up is slightly different when using controller vs. m/Kb on PC. Is there a reason for this?

As a bit of a workaround for the first point, you can use the right thumbstick to manually aim towards the objective. It may require some wiggling, but I've managed to use this in order to brute force objectives with enemies around. There is also supposedly an option that keeps your target locked on a single enemy until it dies or you manually switch targets, and this should presumably work for objectives as well, but I didn't get around to checking where this option is. The workaround I have done and while a bit janky, it should at least help you somewhat until GGG looks into the issue more formally. Hope this helps! :)

Edit: The settings are targeting settings and you can choose either dynamic or locked mode, locked is the one that might help with keeping the objective selected without the target jumping to nearby monsters.

Thanks for those suggestions. I will play with those settings and see if they change anything.

EDIT: Where are you seeing the targeting options? I can't find them.

I've used that workaround -- mapped USE bind to d-pad down, and map minimap to it as well.

That way it will work as minimap toggle when there is no interactables, and you be able to interact when mobs near you.

Also I played on steamdeck and mapped one of right back button to dpad-down, that way i do not need to left my left thumb from stick
Wish we could map buttons period. I haven't found a way in game to remap buttons outside of assigning, however A is mapped automatically to pickup/use, regardless to what I map on A.
