Choir of Storm's Lightning Bolt skill does not allow support links

I started using a Choir of Storm amulet that gives the Lightning Bolt skill (similar to the one found in normal staves). The one given by Choir of the Storm however do not allow for any supports even with visible support sockets on it. I'm wondering if this is a bug, as the Stormweaver's Elemental Storms are socketable and work similarly as a on Crit activation. Do note that the skill itself has a higher lvl requirement then my current character (lvl 19 Lightning Bolt received from the item has a lvl 84 requirement) while my current character is only lvl 75. Choir of the Storm however only has a lvl 52 requirement.

I was wandering the same. Bolt has sockets and all but I can't put any supports in it.

Bumping this because I also am having the same issue, potentially related but I can't open the additional DPS stats arrow to the right of the DPS number on the skills page either. Further, another question I had was if "triggering" the lightning bolt would be impacted by additional trigger spell damage. I would assume yes but since Lightning Bolt doesn't have the "trigger" tag AND the DPS calculation details aren't functioning, it's difficult to test.

I was having this same problem today, but then I noticed that I was missing enough Intelligence to cast the level 18 Lightning Bolt granted by Choir of the Storm because I had lost some when I changed equipment. After fixing the attribute, I went back to being able to socket support gems in the skill.

It's still relevant to take a look at this issue, however, because I was able to reliably crashing the game by equipping a bunch of support gems into Lightning Bolt, then lowering my Intelligence which causes the support gems to no longer be "valid", and then whenever I take them out of the socket the game will crash.

Also, even though the support gems do not work when you don't meet the Intelligence requirement for Lightning Bolt, the unsupported skill will still trigger normally.
