Independence day build (Pure fire max proj Fireball stormweaver)

I WANT TO PREFACE THAT I AM NOT ANYTHING CLOSE TO A KNOWLEDGEABLE PLAYER OF PATH OF EXILE.

With that out of the way. I wanted to play a fireball + firestorm build right from the get go. GGG heavily pushes players into spell combinations and elemental synergies, but I have decided that I do not care.

I have made significant updates and pivot on my build. I've pivoted to MoM and Eldritch battery setup with mana stacking build. Additionally, I've removed firestorm and added Archmage to the setup. Remove all the crit chance/damage nodes from the tree and focus on more mana nodes.

BELOW IS MY EARLIER VERSION

General Info

This build is very bad for leveling due to abysmal single target damage until you get at least 2 ascendancies and 3 gems on your fireball (unleash + scattershot + wildshards). Additionally, this is a very mana heavy build, which will require getting all the arcane surge improvements for mana and an inspiration support as soon as you get a 4th slot on your fireball.

Leveling

I have leveled using the classic spark + flamewall, until I got my hands on fireball with unsealed and scattershot. Leveling feels awful due to the lacking single target damage, so uhh, follow the CoF build until then? Using ember fussilade might mitigate the issue on bosses somewhat, so you can try that out with the scattershot and unleash/arcane tempo early on.

The Main Action

The main idea of the build is to shoot as many explosions as possible (and to brick your PC while at it). To achieve that, I am getting Fireball with scattershot + unleash + wildshards + (inspiration/arcane tempo). If you do not feel the mana strain, feel free to get rid of the inspiration support and get anything fit for more damage.

I have opted for CoI firestorm, but after the nerfes it feels pretty useless on mob packs, but it still adds decent bits of damage on your boss fights. And since I am not using anything not fire related creating your own arena with the ice walls is out of the picture any additional bit of damage counts. I suggest getting any damage gems, spell echo and perhaps execute on it.

I've been trying out elemental storm for more single target DPS, but currently it feels pretty lacking. Maybe with 4th ascendancy to 140% cd rate and more crit chance it will get the second wind, but I have my doubts.

Gearing

I opted for wand + focus. Your main stats are + fire skills, + flat and % fire damage and + spell damage and cast speed for more wildshards procs. Everything else is just getting your ES, resistances and damage anywhere you can find it in.

Conclusion

This is currently an arguably weaker version of the fireball cold conversion build with CoF, however I wanted pure fire damage, because I do not listen to GGG.

I would love to hear tips from people with more experience on how to achieve my perfect 4th of July!

ember fusillade is beating ass single target
Hi, I am doing a bit of the same, full fireball burn on tree.
Did chronomaster as I didnt locate anything else on the stormweaver, and was already deep into fire tree.

My problem is how do you apply fire exposure, I havnt been able to locate a reliable to apply it.

Tried it with SRS + fire exposure + ignite chance - no debuff.
Tried it with cast on ignire firestorm - no dubuff.

Only way i have located is by channeling the incierate, but the debuff doesnt linger so seems a bit out of place.

Anyone else that has located a good solution?

That's definitely a better choise in open arenas for more damage and I'll add it to my lvling part, but once you get to mapping it is pretty annoying to switch the gems between the fireball and the ember fussilade, which is why I never really mentioned it. Perhaps you are using different support gems with it?

Personally, I haven't found a good way to reliably put exposure on enemies without using incinerate, which is why I never put any points into it. I feel like that mechanic is either not fully worked in yet, or we are yet to find a proper interaction.
Made a big pivot in the build by switching to a mana stacking setup with MoM and eldritch battery. Currently, the build is feeling massively more healthy and smooth (once you get enough mana and mana regen to sustain the mana including damage). Get the unique belt for 50% of damage taken converted to the mana and the everlasting gaze amulet when you can afford it, as well, as it's a huge game changer for sustainability.
I'll update the tree on mobalytics as well

currently running concentrated effect, scattershot, fire pen on ember fusillade

unleash, wildshards and fork on fireball. swapped controlled destruction earlier for wildshards

The misconception is that you ignite with increased ignite chance with SRS.
Just use SRS + infernal legion + fire exposure for guaranteed ignite chance and therefore guaranteed exposure. Needed some time to come up with it myself but since then its easy to grasp the new ailment concepts. If it says something like "ignite" or "freeze" or "pin" etc. it is probably worth investigating. Just search in your support skill window when cutting gems. It's worth it.

Playing kind of the same built, currently on map T5 and its.. okay.

I just add detonate dead and its really huge against packs of mobs.

I just need more dps against boss at this moment
Im 86 Sorc, running pure fire with fifeball and EF, CI and archmage with sigil of power. 100kdps wih EF standing on sigil of power. Have no problem wih T15 bosses and easy to clear T15 mapd Havent found a T16 yet.

Soi think its doable.
