Early Access FAQ Was CHANGED - Being denied access despite over 480$ in lifetime purchases
On November 21st you posted your Early Access FAQ for PoE 2
https://web.archive.org/web/20241127022640/https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3587981/page/1#p25485982 Here is what it said - "How to join Early Access? Purchasing one of new Early Access Supporter Packs with a key grants you access. As we have also announced earlier, if you've purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you'll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2. In this case you'll receive an email (if we have one for you) and PM on the website that lets you know that your account has had access granted. We will begin inviting players in the next two weeks. Please note that the threshold is the same for all countries and does not take regional prices into account. How will I know if my lifetime purchases meet the threshold? You can check your past purchases by visiting Your Account on the website and selecting, "View transactions." Your valid purchases will include any purchase that was made with dollars instead of points. Points keys that were redeemed on your account will not contribute to this total. A lot of people have been emailing customer support to ask if they meet the threshold. We'd prefer if you could wait until the Early Access begins and see if you're immediately invited, and then contact support if you didn't get an invite but you believe your lifetime support exceeds $480 USD." There is absolutely ZERO language about past support regarding dollar purchases, only in relation to previous supporter packs. The only language relating to dollar amounts is about lifetime purchases and ANY purchase that was made with dollars. There is no indication that purchases made after the release of this announcement were invalid. Then on December 4th you updated the Early Access FAQ without any explanation. Current FAQ Link - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3587981 You added this line, 2 days before the release of early access - "Please note that lifetime purchases only count the packs and purchases made prior to the release of Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Packs." I read the FAQ on November 30th. I was at 470$ in lifetime purchases. I purchased an early access supporter pack to bring my total LIFETIME purchases to 500$ and so that I could gift my girlfriend the game and we could play early access together. I believed I would automatically receive access on my account as I had now spent over 480$ in LIFETIME purchases. Again, there was absolutely no indication in your FAQ at the time that purchases made after the release of this FAQ and early access packs would not count towards the LIFETIME purchase amount. I did not receive early access on this account automatically, and I believe that your changing of the language on your FAQ was wrong. People who have spent over 480$ in lifetime purchases, prior to the changing of your FAQ on December 4th should receive early access as was stated in your FAQ from November 21- December 4th. " Hej Lazyrix, this isnt something new. In december of 2020 i was going to buy one of 2021 Core supporter packs and first version of their Thread/FAQ had different time frame which been counting your purchases toward upgrading chosen pack, i did purchases during that time specifically for that reason so i could add them to 2021 Core supporter packs purchase once it become available, simple as that. Now guess what happend, they changed that Thread/FAQ informations and ive emailed them asking about that change, why its now different than it was for some clarification. They acted like i was NOT UNDERSTANDING, simple lying, because web.archive.org got it all out there available to check. As result i didnt bought anything from their 2021 Core supporter packs as i dont like to be lied to with straight face. That kind of editing which you witnessed, as well as me before, is not only bad mannered, but also not acceptable behaviour. Any changes to what was written initially in that FAQ should be explained and clarified, respecting consumers time and respecting consumers sanity. |

Thank you for your reply and sharing your experience. My attempts to deal with support have been infuriating as they have also completely ignored everything I have pointed out regarding their changes to the FAQ and have responded as if I am confused or misunderstood.
The only thing I’m confused about is why a company thinks this type of behavior is okay and why they would continue to treat customers as if we are wrong. This is an incredibly shady and down right unethical business practice. I have spent 500$ on this account alone, as well as bought multiple supporter packs for my girlfriend on her account. At this point I will never spend another dollar on a grinding gear games product unless this issue is resolved, though it appears they have no intention of doing that.
