PC Freeze/Game Crash
Hello,
Since the game launched it randomly freezes my computer and the only solution is a restart. Can somebody please look into this issue since it also happens for my friends and only while playing PoE2. Current configuration: Ryzen 7 7800X3D RTX4080 Super 64GB Ram Corsair Vengeance SSD Samsung 990 PRO Best regards, Atlantis Last bumped on Dec 17, 2024, 4:13:05 AM

What helped me is switching from DX12 to Vulkan and enabling background/foreground fps caps. Someone said that disabling "Engine Multithreading" before using portals/waypoints and enabling it after is also helpful, but it's a tedious workaround, imo.

Same issue, game will often freeze and require a total PC restart. My solution is every. single. game launch. I have to change the game affinity through task manager to disable two CPUs allocated to the game.

Same problem.
Vulcan so far solves it for me, but I lose performance, the game runs better with DX12. Thanks for the help. |

Hello,
I forgot to mention that I already switched to Vulcan and still nothing changed. I can try disabling multithreading before entering a portal. Thanks, Atlatnis |

Let's see, I did several tests, I detected that rescaling NVIDIA "Nis" caused system freezes. Remove dynamic scaling from the Nvidia control panel and in-game, remove shared system RAM in the NVIDIA control panel. In the game select Intel XeSS as the method and check the dynamic resolution option. I also added the other cores and only excluded number 0 and number 1. So far it hasn't given me any problems, everything is going well and I even like the way it looks better. If the same problem occurs, I will not hesitate to report. Greetings. |

Hello everyone,
Seems like disabling engine multithreading when changing region is a temporary workaround for the moment. Lets hope for a permanent fix ASAP from the dev team. BR, Atlantis |
