Tempest Bell loot bug and suggestion for autotargetting
The "x" button option is not available on loot that dropped near a dropped tempest bell, until after the bell disappears.
Also, I've seen a couple other posts on how the bell is auto-targetted, which I think in many cases is the right thing due to the extra damage. But when mobs are not within the range of the bell, I think the player should be able to override the auto-targetting on the bell by using the movement (L) control towards the mob. For context I have been using tempest bell with Ice Strike and Storm Wave, and don't use the (R) control to change which way I'm facing. Last bumped on Dec 16, 2024, 11:25:01 AM

As a monk player myself, I couldn't agree more.
Beside the issue of not being able to loot while the bell is still active, I legit lost 2-3 times in ascendancy trials, the type of room where you gotta activate the crystals. Sometimes, you cannot click X to do so because some quick mobs got in range of your attack and you just dash to them, but hey, fine, you got a few more sec and your dmg is good enough to deal with them quick with the bell. Drop the bell, the mobs explode in a split second, and you end up not being able to activate the crystal since the bell is still there, then you gotta keep hitting it until it's gone, but time's out and you fail and gotta start from the very beginning again. Not even talking about how much it sucks playing the trils as a melee, losing honor to some stupid ass mobs like the bugs and snakes. But that's another story. |

Rebind your interact key to something else that is blank. I have mine set to L2 + L1, and I have no issue selecting things. The bell still interrupts loot pickup, but it's far easier to avoid interacting during the trial where you have to chase down the nodes opposed to attacking something on accident.

I can't stand the auto-targeting of the bell. My friend is a Monk and it's a dreadful experience. I feel like I don't get to control my own character.
